We last caught up with influencer Cassie Rose in 2022, and a lot has changed since then. We chat with Cassie about life, grief, resilience, fitness, travel, and the exciting new chapter she’s building for herself.
It’s been a few years since we last caught up. What’s the biggest thing that’s happened in your world since our last conversation?
Since 2022, the biggest thing that has happened in my life has been unexpectedly losing my sister. She was only 33 when she suddenly passed away in December 2025.
Navigating grief has undoubtedly been one of the most challenging experiences of my life, but it has also taught me a lot about myself. It’s given me a different perspective on life and taught me the importance of resilience, empathy and appreciating the people around you.
I’ve learned that even when life changes unexpectedly, you’re capable of adapting and continuing to move forward while still allowing yourself the time and space to process what you’re going through. It’s an experience that has shaped me as a person and made me more understanding of what other people may be going through behind the scenes.

If 2022 Cassie could see what you’re doing now, what do you think she’d be most surprised, or excited, by?
I think 2022 Cassie would be most surprised by how much I’ve grown in confidence and how much I’ve achieved in a relatively short space of time. Back then, I don’t think I had a clear idea of what direction I wanted my life to go in or what I was truly capable of.
She’d probably be most excited to see that I’ve built a career in something I’m genuinely passionate about. I put myself through my Personal Training qualifications, which I funded and completed independently, and that’s something I’m really proud of. I also finally passed my driving test after four attempts, which might seem like a smaller achievement, but for me it really represents my resilience and determination to keep going when something doesn’t happen the first time.
The last few years have brought some amazing achievements alongside some incredibly difficult moments. Since unexpectedly losing my sister, I’ve also started writing about navigating grief at a young age. It’s given me a way to turn something incredibly difficult into something meaningful, with the hope that sharing my experience might eventually help other young people going through something similar.
More than anything, I think 2022 Cassie would be surprised by how resilient I’ve become and proud that I’ve grown into someone who is much more confident in who she is and what she wants from life.

What’s been your favourite destination in the last few years, and where are you desperate to go next?
I’ve been really lucky to visit some beautiful places over the last few years. Two of my favourites have definitely been Cannes in the South of France and Porto Cervo in Italy – both were absolutely stunning and places I’d love to go back to.
My first holiday this year will actually be Dubai, which I’ve never visited before, so I’m really excited to experience somewhere completely new. Travelling is something I really enjoy, and as I get older I’m becoming even more excited about seeing more of the world, experiencing different cultures and creating new memories. There are still so many places on my list, so I think choosing where to go next will be the difficult part!
What’s the secret to getting the perfect Instagram shot? Are you pretty spontaneous with it, or does it take a bit of planning?
I’d say it’s definitely a mixture of both! I’ve been creating content and working with social media for a number of years now, so I naturally notice things like good lighting, angles and locations. If I know I’m going somewhere particularly nice, I’ll usually have a little idea beforehand of the kind of photo or content I’d like to get.
That being said, some of my favourite photos have been completely spontaneous. I think the secret is good natural lighting, feeling confident and not overthinking it too much – sometimes the photos you didn’t plan end up being the best ones!
I’ve also learned that getting “the perfect shot” usually involves taking a lot more photos than the one that eventually makes it onto Instagram!
Has being in front of the camera become completely natural to you now, or do you still have moments where you think, “Oh, I have to pose for this”?
I’d say with fashion and lifestyle content, being in front of the camera feels completely natural to me now. I’ve been doing it for so long that I don’t really think twice about posing or having a camera pointed at me.
Gym content is actually a different story! It’s something I’ve started doing more recently, and I still find myself getting a little shy when I’m filming in the gym, especially when it’s busy and there are people around. It’s funny because I’m so comfortable in the gym itself and equally comfortable in front of a camera, but putting the two together is still quite new to me!
I think it’s a good reminder that you can be confident in yourself and still have things that push you outside of your comfort zone. The more I do it, the more natural it’s becoming.
Fashion is obviously a big part of your world. What’s one item in your wardrobe you could happily wear every single day?
I’d probably have to say a good pair of smart trousers. I love being fashionable, but comfort is really important to me too, so they’re the perfect balance.
I love that you can dress them up with heels and a nice top, or make them more casual with trainers and a basic tee. They still make you look really put together without feeling as restrictive as a pair of jeans. If I could find an excuse to wear smart trousers every day, I probably would!
And what’s one trend you just can’t get on board with?
I’d have to say cold plunges! I know they’ve become such a huge wellness trend and so many people absolutely swear by them, but I just can’t bring myself to get on board. I’m definitely someone who would choose a hot shower or sauna every time! Maybe one day I’ll be converted, but for now I’m quite happy staying warm.
What’s something you’re passionate about now that you never expected to become such a big part of your life?
Definitely fitness and, more specifically, women’s health. A few years ago, I never would have imagined that it would become such a big part of my life, let alone my career.
What started as something I enjoyed doing for myself has developed into a genuine passion for helping other people feel stronger and more confident. Since becoming a Personal Trainer, I’ve become particularly interested in women’s health and understanding how our bodies can affect the way we train, which is something I now incorporate into my work and the seminars I run.
I think what I love most is that fitness is so much more than how you look. Seeing someone become stronger, improve their form or walk into the gym feeling more confident than they did a few months ago is really rewarding.
It’s funny because if you’d told 2022 Cassie that one day she’d be standing in front of a room talking about women’s health or confidently coaching people in the gym, I’m not sure she would have believed you!

What’s your current fitness obsession?
At the moment, probably good mornings! I love exercises that challenge more than one area, and good mornings require a lot of core strength and stability while also really targeting your glutes and hamstrings.
I find them quite challenging, which is probably why I enjoy them so much. I like having exercises in my training that I can keep working on and progressing with, rather than ones that always feel easy.
And what exercise would you happily never do again?
Probably back barbell squats! I know they’re a staple exercise and so many people love them, but personally I’ve just never enjoyed them. There are so many other ways I prefer to train my legs and glutes that feel better for me and that I genuinely look forward to doing.
I always think the best form of training is finding exercises you actually enjoy and can stay consistent with – and back squats definitely aren’t one of mine!
Finally, if we caught up again in another four years, what would you love to be telling me you’ve done by then?
If we caught up again in four years, I’d love to be telling you that my grief eBook was a sell-out and, more importantly, that sharing my experience of navigating grief at a young age had genuinely helped other people feel less alone.
I’d hope I could say that I’m still making my sister proud every day and continuing to build a life that I know she would be proud to see me living. I’d also love to have continued progressing in my career, particularly within fitness and women’s health, and hopefully have built something of my own that allows me to help and connect with even more people.
On a slightly more materialistic note, after it took me four attempts to finally pass my driving test, I’d definitely love to be able to say I’ve got the GLE or Porsche I’ve always wanted sitting on the driveway!
Personally, maybe there’ll be a partner and children in the picture too. I’d love to have created a happy and secure life for myself and potentially be starting a family, but I’ve also learned that you can’t plan everything life has in store for you.
More than any particular milestone, my biggest goal is to be able to say that I’ve continued becoming the best version of myself, both mentally and physically. I want to be happy, healthy, successful, surrounded by good people and still pushing myself to grow. If I can look back in four years and feel proud of the person I’ve become and the life I’ve created, I think that would be the biggest achievement.
