Siblings Khloe and Dayton Hammond are paving the way for Gen Z in Las Vegas real estate. Close-Up Culture speaks to this talented duo about their dynamic, the challenges they face, a potential reality TV show, and much more.
Your family has a history in real estate. Can you tell us about that and what drew you both into the industry?
K: We grew up around real estate our whole lives, our dad was a realtor and our grandpa owned a brokerage in Washington. Our parents also invested in real estate properties so by default we were constantly involved in the real estate world.
D: Our grandfather owned a brokerage in Spokane, WA, and our dad was a realtor. We were always involved in the real estate industry, whether cleaning rentals or spending time at the office. I always loved creating media, from making videos to taking photos. In 2017, during high school, I started working at a real estate media company. Last year, after moving to Las Vegas, I launched Real Value Media, my own real estate media business.
You both bring different skills sets to this real estate team. Can you tell us about your dynamic and why you work so well together?
K: I think our dynamic works so well because we can be brutally honest with each other. We can say what we really mean without worrying about if we’re offending each other because we have known each other our whole lives. Dayton has always loved photography/videography. Ever since we were little kids Dayton would always have a camera with him and make movies with our friends.
D: As Khloe mentioned, we communicate directly and efficiently, with no unnecessary BS. Our mutual trust eliminates any anxiety in our business dealings. Ultimately, family comes first, and it is a true blessing to do business with someone you can completely trust and who always has your back.
It’s amazing to see two young people taking the real estate scene by storm, but I also imagine there are some people who underestimate you because of your ages. What challenges have you faced in the industry?
K: I think people definitely underestimate us because of our ages. I think it comes down to the service you provide rather than our ages. Dayton has over 5 years of experience in this field.
D: Yes, it happens often, but I’m used to it. I started shooting real estate at 17, and even at 24, I still get comments about my age. I use it to my advantage by staying current with new services and technologies to enhance our service for clients. Where my experience falls short, our Media & Marketing Director, Rey, steps in. At 41, Rey brings extensive business experience. I make it a point to surround myself with people who complement my skills.

What are the buying and selling trends looking like for 2024?
K: The Las Vegas real estate market has seen a big influx in out of state buyers moving here. I think that will continue to happen because Vegas is growing so fast.
D: At Real Value Media, we handle a lot of social media campaigns for our clients, frequently targeting out-of-state buyers drawn to Las Vegas. This trend is understandable, as the city is experiencing significant growth with things like new sports teams and new communities emerging rapidly.
There are a lot of fun reality TV shows based around the real estate industry. Would that ever be something that interested you?
K: I have always loved real estate shows. Growing up I loved to watch Fixer upper, Selling Sunset and Million Dollar listing. I think these shows have definitely caused my generation to have more interest in the real estate industry. As far as my interest in being on a real estate show, there is something in the works, stay tuned!
D: I wouldn’t be opposed to it; being on a TV show with my sister would be a lot of fun. Our dynamic would be highly entertaining for the audience. One moment we might be arguing, and the next, seamlessly collaborating with perfect efficiency. Our friends certainly get a kick out of watching us interact.
What are your hopes and plans for the future?
K: I hope to build up my clientele and continue to gain knowledge on the industry. The real estate industry is always changing and evolving so there is always more to learn! I hope to invest in commercial real estate and rental properties in the future.
D: Right now, my only goal is to continue to make Real Value Media a game-changer in the Las Vegas real estate scene. I love it when my clients genuinely feel the difference, like I’ve helped them soar to new heights in their career with ease. It’s not just a goal though, it’s a heartfelt mission. And that’s exactly what our slogan, “Realtor Success Made Effortless,” is all about.
