1) Clouds Of Sils Maria (2014)
An outstanding Stewart and the legendary Juliette Binoche bring the very best out of each other in Assayas’ fascinating drama. A career-defining role for Stewart.
A long way she has come since Twilight. Great list! I quite liked her as Joan Jett in The Runaways too.
Thanks Jade! She really has, excited to see if she continues to pursue directing.
Although Kristen was fantastic in The Cake Eaters, Speak and Panic Room, Clouds of Sils Maria was my choice. She was so much better, in that role, than all the Oscar nominated actresses, that year. She deserved the Oscar!
It is such an underappreciated performance. She’ll get an Oscar one day…
