Close-Up: An Interview With ‘Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey’ Star Natasha Tosini

Actress Natasha Tosini joins us on Close-Up Culture to talk about her exciting role in the horror film, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.

The film follows Pooh and Piglet, who have now become feral and bloodthirsty murderers, as they terrorise a group of young university women and an adult Christopher Robin when he returns to the Hundred Acre Wood many years later after leaving for college.

Hi Natasha, welcome to Close-Up Culture. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is one of the most eye-catching titles of the year. What was your reaction when you heard about this project?

Hi, thanks so much for having me!

Well, I think I had the same reaction as the rest of the world to be honest! Equal shock to curiosity! I’ve always loved Winnie the Pooh, so this idea was mind-blowing to me and to get a chance to be a part of it – just insane!

Can you tell us about your character, Lara, and how you related to her?

So, Lara is a fun loving, typical blonde girl, haha. She’s funny, she’s carefree and she loves her friends in her own way. I actually relate to her a lot! I’m very fun, loving and always want to make the most out of any situation – I feel like she’s the same! I’ll definitely say they cast very well on this character! (Oh… and she’s super sexy, like me lol)

The film comes from the genius mind of Rhys Frake-Waterfield. What was your experience like working with Rhys and the rest of this team?

Working with Rhys was amazing! I loved working with him and the rest of the team in fact. He’s really sweet and genuinely cares about the people he’s working with and his humour just gets me everytime, haha! Him and Scott have really hit the nail on the head with the projects they’ve been doing and I wish them both nothing but success – they deserve every ounce of it!

What will be your biggest takeaway or memory from working on the film?

I’d probably say the friends I’ve made! I’ve always been a people person who loves to make other people laugh and be happy, so meeting everyone on set for the first time just felt amazing! I’m still in contact with quite a few people I worked with on that set and I’ve become very close with a few! I genuinely think working in film will give you opportunities to meet the best of people.

What type of roles and projects would you love to work on in the future?

I think with projects I’m pretty open minded right now. I’m happy to go into any genre, be it comedy, romance, action or even more horror! I’ve had a lot of fans shout at me to get myself into Marvel or Scream 7, either of which would be amazing! I’ll only work on a project I really believe in though… as I want to be authentic to myself and my fans.

Do you have any upcoming projects you can share with us?

I do! I’m confirmed for a few projects that I’m really excited about. I’ve got a movie in LA coming up, a movie filming in the UK coming up (which actually has some KILLER twists!). I’m most excited about a TV series I’ll soon be filming in LA as the confirmed lead/protagonist!
